Contents

Adding/Editing Labor

To Edit an existing labor line, select it from the list. To add a new labor line, Click on Add Labor near the top of the labor window. If the labor line you wish to add is related to a different repair task, you may consider attaching it to a separate Job.

You will see a Popup Window allowing you to edit the details of the labor entry.

Copying Canned Labor

Routinely performed tasks can be made into Canned Labor via Canned Management. To copy a canned labor item on the current job, select Find Canned near the top of the labor window. This will open a popup window listing all of the current Canned Labor items. Selecting it from the list will allow you to make changes, and add it to the current job.

Allocating Labor

Allocating Labor is the process of specifying which technician(s) worked on labor operations. If who will work on a labor operation is known when it is created, Labor Allocation can be done during creation to save time. Labor allocation can also be done seperately in one step. To allocate all labor in one step, click on Allocate Labor near the top of the labor window. This will open a popup window that lists each labor operation, allowing you to select the technicians that worked on them.

Note that only 2 technicians can be assigned to a specific job. If you have a repair task that is complicated enough to have more than two technicians involved, you may consider seperating it out into different labor lines.

Using RTL

If desired, you may use Real-Time Labor Guides to aid in Labor Line creation. To use this feature, click on Use RTL near the top of the labor window. NOTE that you must have Realtime Guide enabled in Program Setup.
